Recommend tripod for travel

Hi guys

currently using D70s with kit lense. Will be going europe this may for 3 weeks +. Any recommendations for a tripod + ballhead?

Have been reading abit on tripod and Manfrotto 055ProB seems like quite a good choice apart from it's weight.

Is there any other alternatives?? What about tripodheads?

You might want to state your budget. There are lighter alternatives but it is going to be expensive.

budget maybe $200-$300. That is inclusive of both tripod and tripodhead.

What is your current head?

Maybe you just needed a smaller tripod and can reuse the head.

That budget is enough already....mine total's only $240.

FYI, very difficult to find Manfrotto tripod/ heads at the moment. I was at TK on last Thu. They still have some Manfrottos left but limited choice.

Try Alex Photo at Peninsula Plaza. He still have quite a fair collection of Manfrotto tripods and monopods. Just got a 685B monopod from him. Good price too.
