Is the Panasonic Lumix LC-5-S good?

It's a pretty good camera! The colour and sharpness is very good. Maybe due to the lens. But i do encounter some noise problem at times, especially when the shot is underexposed! Can go up to iso 200 (i usually shoot at iso 100) if you don't want to much grain on your photo, unlike the DSLR whcih can go up to 1600 without traces of grain. For $600, i think is a good buy. It's exactly the same as the Leica Digilux. Just different packaging. All the controls, buttons and functions are the same. Maybe just a little different like round buttons become square buttons but it's exactly the same location. Maybe you want to take a look at some photos i took with my LC-5
For Nice colours
For noise problem, (I think it's due to underexposed as i got anotherot the same shot which turns out fine)
Under dim lighting
Having said all these, if you have more $, go for the DSLR, if not the Minolta Dimage 7hi is a good choice! Me no $, so stick to my LC-5 So far, i'm quite happy with it
