Okay, this has gotta be the most Kopitiam thread that I have ever posted...
My sister and I just discovered (15 minutes before posting this thread?) that several of my goldfishes are turning belly up because of the lack of oxygen! At least that is what we are assuming.
The goldfishes belong to my Dad and I don't know anything about rearing goldfishes, other than the fact that we shouldn't feed them too much. My pump system works in such a way that the water has to "beat" on the surface of the water to create bubbles/oxygen for the fishes. We found out that my Mom put some water in the tank this morning to minimize the sound because all those "beating" can be rather noisy.
It's quite sad to see my goldfishes struggling like that. They are still alive, but struggling.
Is there any hope they will be better by tomorrow morning, or within the next few days?
For fish hobbyists, what do you do when you find something like that?
