Default Egret Flight shot at 200mm

Was walking around near my house when I saw this egret take off and managed to shoot one in flight.

I think would have been better if egret was not dead center? I like the sillouette composition though...

second image is nice, but perhaps would like to consider upcropping top of the tree n reduce bottom dark potion to minimum? it will deliver a better impact this way.

i think the noise in first image originates from severe under exposure/high ISO setting. most probably u shooting at metered reading. if backlit, try manual dial in. But it would appear to me u will not have ample lighting to do so either.

Oops...I composed it with this compressed look and with only part of the tree and did not crop my Photo. So no way I can 'uncrop'. Thanks for your opinion!

I was shooting the egret at 7pm and well, I had very little light.

hope u don't mind cause i thnk i watched too much african safari liao

I think Tim has a similar thread sometime back but was taken in Malaysia. Mood was very different cause bery early in the morning so a lot of fog. But i think if u go along that line than i suppose u r heading for e right direction. Or maybe not. I normally do some experiments and decide on what I want, less on what people critiqued. it's still best to assimilate everything, though most of e time it's easier said than done .
