Hi All

Micky, I just got the Sony tele and managed to take some shots earlier at the zoo. Check out the pics at

Anyone else from the 7x7 club got the same lens? Hope I did not become a carrot...

$395 still too ex for me. How did you find the HGD1758?

Heh heh.. it all depends on what you like to shoot. For me, the extra zoom is great for shooting animals, where you cannot get too close. It would be good for street photography too. If you do not take much of such pics, then I think you can do without it

Is the teleconvertor heavy? Able to hand-held without tripod?

The converter weighs more than half a kilo, with the cam it weighs well over a kilo, so unless you got very strong arms I think you would need a tripod
