Nice idea to capture the light with long shutter speed

Do you use tripod for this? Because the pic is a bit blur. Maybe can use a more steady tripod

I agree. I think the camera moved a bit.
    but nice capture
Try again at this speed an also in reducing the speed slightly.
Put the camera on a stable stand, use your timer to avoid to shake the camera by pressing the shutter. Night shots combine with slow speed really don't like vibrations
Check also your ISO speed. More you'll be high, more it'll be grainy

If I were you, I would try to reduce your aperture. Take some shot F22, some other with Max aperture and compare. Longer is your exposure more you will have noise on your picture
therefore try to open a max and increase your speed. you can MP if you want the different results.
If you have a noise reduction position into your camera, use it.

I am using the 20D, and there is the noise reduction function. I am using it.

Setting to F22 is to ensure that I have the best DOB. Not sure if I am right.

But having to Max appecture, is a 2.8. I would not have the MP.

By the way, what is MP?

depend of the distance between the subject and you but like this you can set the aperture at the maxumim, no problem. At least try and compare. you will see by yourself
    wanted to say PM...
