Can't recall the settings off hand now but I was just armed with the kit lens.

Nice photos Toomz.
Got a little advice for you. I find the colour a little off due to glare. Try polariser next time round to get rid of glare. Sure will boost your colours up.

Hmm.. I do not quite understand the 'glare' that you are refering to.
Care to elaborate? Tks

I'm sorry, but where's the glacier?

title said Hooker valley Glacier but all i see are mountains and ice. No glaciers in sight.

Maybe global warming took them all away already.

Nice pictures otherwise

#6 is the place where the end of the glacier melts into water and runs all the way downstream. Global warming has caused much of them to recede further inland.
I didn't quite explore upstream further, was getting hungry

You can see that in #7 there are are still chuncks of ice melting away in the water.
Moreover it was summer time, not sure how it would look like in winter though.

Great pics! Almost can feel the cold just by looking at the pics. You shoot all in Raw format? For what I've experience it's not easy to shoot glacier because of all the reflection and diffraction of lights that can fool the in-camera metering as well as increase in fringing.

Taken in JPEG only, it's easy to underexpose due to those reflection and deflection.
Anyway me newbie just trial and error
