According to some the fumes are poisonous so I don't recommend you doing it in your oven. Just spend a few dollars and buy a new bottle.
Or save up somemore and get a dry cabinet. |

As long as you see the beads turn blue again, that's fine. It depends on the amount of the beads you are trying to dehumidify at one go.
And yes, please let it cool down (until room temperature) since it can get very hot. Don't think you want to expose your skin and equipment to such high temperatures. |

Maybe you guys can try putting in a car which can get as hot as 45°C on a hot day.
Cheers |

Microwave for 4-5 mins ... let it cool for 20 mins ...
Leave the microwave door open to release the fumes for 30 mins. No Scientific basis to the above suggestion ... but that's what I do. |

Some of these gels are known to have cancer causing agent.
As such, I'll never use my frying pan, microwave oven, etc. for such purposes. |

The clear one or without humidity indicator contain no Cobalt Chloride. Or better find the orange one as this www.silica-gel.com mentioned. Better safe than sorry. Regards, Arto. Last edited by Artosoft; 6th April 2006 at 03:22 PM. |
