Default My first butterfly

Finally, I have caught my first butterfly shot. The background is a little messy though...

great shot on the composition but your flash on the flower super harsh man. should have bounced off the flash i think and use a shallow DOF to blur off the background and would have been a very good shot totally.

nice attempt

Thanks for the advise. Its my first time, and I was using a 40-150 without macro capabilities. It was an overcast greyish day so I popped the camera's built in flash quickly to do a fill, that's why the harshness of the flash.

Will keep your advise in mind. Will attempt to shoot more insects since its spring and flowers are in bloom.
