D70s' Built-in flash cover more wide angle than D70. D70s have electronic cable release connector.

I go for the D70s too!
Not sure whether retail shop still stock up on D70. People are selling D70 at Buy & Sell section on the forum. |

In addtion to what was said by others...
My shooting buddy has the D70m and I use the D70s. Diffference is in size of display LCD 1.8 vs 2 in, and the soft ware which can be downloaded. Some other cosmetic changes incluse the "D70s" badge which is black and the shotter button which is also now black instead of silver. D&)s are of course, later runs in the production cycle. If you won't mind the slight differences, then the D70 must prove a great bargain... |

Actually, not much difference, both will still work well, but currently in the market, only D70S is in retail sale, the D70 is more of the 2nd hand market now.

d70s got a lot of books written to teach you how to use...
also got more after market stuffs like vertical grip.. etc... Nikon USA has officially cut their prices in US so now the diff between d70s and d50 both with 18-70 kit lens is $100 only.... there is a shift now of users buying d70s instead of d50.... nikon marketing strategy to boost d70s sales ??? |

How true ... I went to borders the other day and got the Nikon D70 (updated info for D70s included). Its a pretty basic guide, but i think it would be good for beginners like meself ![]() |
