Im doing a Food and Nutrition project here and need some help in thinking of a chinese dish that fits the description.

    2)Meal comes with soup
    3)gravy on the rice
    4)Chicken meat
    5)Mix of sweet and salty
    6)portions of food is big
    7)Dish must include rice

Gong Bao Ji Ding with Rice

    It complies with the following:

    1)spicy
    3)gravy on the rice
    4)Chicken meat
    5)Mix of sweet and salty
    6)portions of food is big
    7)Dish must include rice
    8)Stir fried cooking method

(Make the dish more gravy-ish, so you can put some on the rice)

    Point 2)Meal comes with soup:
Buy some chicken bones with minimal flesh, use it to boil the soup. throw in some (unfried) ikan-bilis if you want, top it off with some chinese parsley. Remember to add salt!

    My personal easy-to-make suggestion. Hahaa!

Fin, you didnlt mention any restrictions, like exclusions, budget and nutritional slant.

As such, looking at your requirements, I would say Sweet & Sour Chicken with sambal belachan condiment, Kiam Chye, Tofu and Seafood soup and steamed rice. Make the portion as large as you need.

You'd probably get more recipe tips if you try posting at a foodie forum like makansutra's: www.makansutra.com
