Hi guys, got a question for Nikon DSLR owners. Do you have a problem with dust? How often do you need to send for servicing to remove dust?
I once borrowed a Fuji S1 Pro to bring to a US trip, and only changed lenses twice. But the photos that I took towards the end of the trip showed dust smudges, while the earlier ones didn't. So that really scared me off dust and I'm considering buying an Olympus DSLR just because of the dust issue, even though I already have Nikon lenses at home. |

Dust is an overhyped issue, on the newer D70/D200/D2 bodies, you can use the "Dust Image Ref" function in the camera body. Seems like most are only too eager to buy but never bothered about the built in function
![]() As for dust appearing on images, you cannot avoid it, unless you're in a clean room. My advice is just shoot more and worry less. If not how can you enjoy photography? |
