Is it worth getting the Nikon 18-200mmVR over the thrid party lens??

I was wondering just how the good the Nikon 18-200mm VR lens is?? It cost S$1260 which means I can buy about 2 18-200mm lens from third party manufacturers like tamron and sigma.

I wonder if it justify the cost.......do give your reasons and if possible, justify with examples......

i think it is worth it...
1st it is NIKON,
2nd it have VR function which other brand doesn't provide
and last it is slightly faster than the others in terms of widest av at 200mm zoom
might not help alot but when VR is added, it realli much much better than those 3rd party lens

The 18-200 VR is a very good lens...no regrets! Dont think u ever need to consider any Sigmas or Tamrons of the same range.

Actually I saw the lens at Best Denki......just that it's selling at S$1480 (Recommended retail price).....
