Default SB800 did not fire.....

Errrr.....think my flash just went kaput. Tried doing test flesh ready light blinks but no light. Time to bring to NSC ?? Was shooting fashion show this afternoon, after that...sighhh...

doubt so....didnt hear any the soft whistling sound when powering up the flash....reset settings also....

try with a new set of battery to confirm it. If still can't fire it up, I'm sorry that you have the same problem as mine. Send to NSC and they said is a PCB problem.

u burst too many shots at one go or fire at full power often izzit?

errrr....yeah too many shots at one go this afternoon....too engross in shootinglah

Do your IA drill and check clear before you send your SB800 for repair at NSC.

It happen too but after I swap to another piece and let the 1st piece rest a while. It fires again.

Just like GPMG lah much change the barrel after too many rounds.

anyway. mine had the pcb changed twice. now the flash is as good as crippled. cannot fire at rpt frames.. if i go rpt. the flash will give a "sound of death" den switch off... den wait a while till it cools down den can use again...

maybe mine is a yucky copy of a copy and a copy...

thinking of getting another 800 also..

Not too sure izzit due to overheat that burn the PCB.
What is the damage like?

I never had the problem though with overheated SB-800s though I do sometimes use the flash very hard.

sux... my SB-600 is also down! does rapid burst flash (i am using AF-C and Continuous for D70) causes it ?
