Thanks, but that's including monopod and crop factor also , much easy and can't compare to your 390mm lah.

That's I think is shadow , not due to sharpening, all photo gone through the same amount of edge sharpening.
Got chased away also, but just move away abit further only, and no flash allow today.

fyi, those photographers are commisioned to shoot the event. yes, there are passes involved. wearing a CS t-shirt or carry a ton of gear doesn't give u the right come stampeding onto the stage.

u lot are an undisciplined group that's why you were shooed away from the stage. you were interfering with our work. cutting in front; getting in the way.

how many times did you have to be reminded not to use flash? and yet people were still happily firing away. worse than little kids!! how many of the commisioned photographers on the stage did u see using flash? we had already had our WB and exposure checked prior to the show and all your flashes were causing our shots to be washed out!

u guys are shooting for hobby, for fun. there are those who shoot for a living so why don't u spare a thought for their livlihood.

My apology for using flash on the previous shows, as I didn't know it affect official photographer badly. And I believe most photographers know that the official have their job to be done. And never have intention to block the official in anyway.

But when we were told not to use flash the 1st and 2nd time, some thought that it was joking, and a few of us didn't know what's going on, as the message were not passed on.

If a clear short briefing (with serious look) before the fashion show start, this shall cut down the unconveniences cause to the official photographers.

For those who keep using flash after the clear briefing given, that is however beyond most other photographers control though.

it's our job and it's not a joke!

why should there even be a briefing? this fashion festival is not about you guys. it's not some event organised just so that u can bring your camera gear out for show-and-tell. it's not just telling once or twice, once. but just about EVERY show that u lot appear!

speaking on my personal point only, not everyone of us attend all the show, as the ticket is hard to get sometime, I personally missed a lot of this SFF fashion shows.

Not every photographers know each other and will pass the message on unfortunately.

We won't know that we cannot use flash unless being told so clearly .

May be some sign board before the entrance on "no flash allowed during show" can help?

I was in the 4PM show and was informed by my friend that flash is not allowed when we were in the queue outside so i packed mine. When the show starts saw some flash fired! huh! and a little longer one of the so called official photographers at my back start firing flush too...... what!

I think the message was not clear enough? how come those official didn't follow the rules too?

ZCF, is rigth..... maybe a sign outside says "No Flush Allowed during the show" will help the message pass across!

I knew this "no flash allowed " slogan will surely be emplaced...

Anyway the staff there are so HOSTILE, they really selfish abt letting our CS guys get the good pics....

Anyway I really hope they will suffer a loss if we dun support them....

Don't get it wrong , official need to do their job. They are paid to do their job, if flash is necessary, they have the priority over other photographers to use it.

We can screw up our shots and we don't need to deliver to anyone and just delete it. But they "have to" deliver theirs to their client.

Well, yah.... they are doing their job for living must respect them. Anyways, next show hopefully the message will be given across in a polite way and at the end of the day we go home happily, sleep with a peace of mine.
