Greetings to All
just wondering how people calibrate their monitors to ensure the right colors... [http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthrea...ibrate+monitor] not sure if the naked eye is the best device in this case since machine precision is more sensitive than most "normal" eyes read that dpreview is advocating ColorVision Monitor Spyder, anyone has any experience with these devices and care to share their experiences? thnx in advance Last edited by sebastiansong; 4th December 2002 at 09:26 AM. |

Yes, I use the Spyder to calibrate all my monitors (at home and also my work notebook).
Works really great, and I cringe everytime I see an uncalibrated monitor nowadays. Definitely more accurate than "nekkid" eye cos I was using the eyeball method with Adobe Gamma previously, and there was a very noticeable difference after using the hardware calibrator.

Hi Darren just wondering if you bought the PhotoCAL (Pro) or OptiCAL version of the spyder and how much you paid for it. I've checked Colorvision's website and it states that Cathay Photo is one of their international reseller. I have asked for an equote but no reply so far |
