    Default Lens picture angle

Hi, I have a question regarding lens picture angle, hoping someone can help me out...

I'm currently using a 28-80mm Nikkor zoom lens, and I'm wondering, if I zoom to 50mm, will it have the same picture angle (46 degrees) as a normal fixed 50mm lens?

And if I'm not wrong, the picture angle will be smaller if I use the lens on a DX sensor as compared to a film body right?

    Thanks!

It should have the same angle as a prime 50mm lens, but the aperture will be much smaller. And since you've mentioned DX sensor, it'll be 1.5x (i.e. at 75mm equivalent of a 35mm film format)
