Default looking for ROM and Actual Day Photographer

hi friends of CS,

my fiance and myself are looking for an official ROM (150706) and Actual Day (151006)Photographer. There're many works I admire here. Can I request that these prospectives photogs email me their works/websites (if any) and also their quotes? furrypawie@gmail.com

we actually met here in CS (in the infamous "Chit-Chat Thread") in June 2004, so CS is a special place for us. It would be meaningful to get a photog from CS as well. It would be even better if the photogs here can quote us a special price!

thanks and hope to hear from you soon!

If you want your wedding photos to be a memorable one, there are only 2 photographers who are THE BEST in town.

Joho aka Jonathan

or

I Am A Saint aka Kelvin.

No kidding.....they are the best.

Hi miss furry,

Why put a price to "emotion", to something that can be looked at and treasured for years to come. Photos bring back memories and memories are a part of life that no one can take away. The sad thing about being in Singapore is that everything has its price, but only some are worth more than others.

Don't forget other good photographers around like Ron Lee, Joho and Wan sheng!

hi, some photographers' package prices might seem expensive or above "market rates". However, it is quite important to compare the delivarables too. There are photographers who offer just images, while others include prints, slideshows, framed pictures and coffeetables.

For the coffeetables, they come in different sizes and number of pages (ranging from 10 to 30). So really, there are some packages which are quite good value for money especially when you consider the quality of work and the deliverables, not forgetting the amount of effort and passion put into doing up your wedding photos and album.

My advise is not to dismiss the more expensive packages available. You'd be surprised that some of these packages are actually cheaper than basic packages with hidden costs.

Last but not least, I think its equally important you get a photographer whom you are comfortable with. Make an appointment with him and have a chat and see if you like his personality. Personally, I believe a photograhers photos are very much shaped by his personality, beliefs and taste in life. His interpretation of your wedding will very likely be based on that.

Do hope the above has helped in any way.

Thanks also to errz and pro image for your heads up. Its good encouragement! Cheers!

For the Photogs:

"Blessed are the Wedding Photographers, whose Works and Personality are Loved by their Clients !"

. . . . . . . . .

For the Wedding Couples:

"Like all Fundamentals and Market Dynamics, One will get what One is willing to pays for !"

. . . . . . . . .

Are You in Love ?

hi eadwine, of cuz i appreciate where u're coming from. but there's just too much cost involved in a wedding. the house, the reno, the ROM, the hotel, the bridal package.. the honeymoon.. etc etc.. its just snowballing.

of cuz i would love to have my wedding to be recorded in print and have many beautiful moments frozen in time. but cost is surely a practical consideration.

hey there, i'm one of ur admirer of ur works. i do agree with what u say. currently a teeny overwhelmed with the quotes we're receiving. taking some time to review the portfolios.. and the deliverables as well. there's really alot of variations. some are cheaper, but offers no print. just cd-rom. we're taking that into consideration as well. some comes with print, coffee table book etc.. plus editing. as amateur-photogs ourselves, we know its alot of hard work to do editing and layouts!! lots of creativity needed.

really wanna thank all those who mailed us their quotes! rest assured that i will look through individually at your quotations, deliverables, most importantly, ur portfolios!

you forgot yourself Ead

Furrypaws - as much as a typical wedding can cost you a big hole in the pocket but this hole can be mended through time but once your AD wedding is over, all is left are the photos/video of that day... so all the preparations like the expensive rental of the gown you wanted, the painstakenly decorated venue and the emotions and mood of you guys all amount to those photos which can never be duplicated again.

A lot of Singaporean couples have placed wrong emphasis on wedding photography with concentration on pre-wedding shots and other stuff which they can actually save on if they think carefully about it. Studio shots can be taken anytime. but you can't have a re-run of your AD

So how do you value the memories of your AD day?

I'd have to agree with Ron on both count (AD emphasis and Eadwine)

By the way furrypaws, I am already booked for both dates. Cheers and best wishes for your wedding
