hi all, me interested in getting a Canon Digital IXUS v3. currently, mkt price is $799. Anyone knows where i can get for a lower price?? tks.....

cathay Photo at Marina Sq is selling it for 700 nett.
just got 2 sets over the weekend.

a good all-rounder with most of the features.
not advisable to use it for nightshots though.
chose this set mainly for its size.
if size is not a problem for you, get other sets.

aiyooo just went cp, v3 sold out!!!!! must be toothy...buy 2 sets at one go.... ....anyone know where else can i get brand new v3 for $700 or less???......

which CP did u go to?
the one in marina should have coz the uncle told me that the stock just came in last week. quantity abt 60 over sets.

I heard that the battery life for this camera is rather pathetic, 1 hour only.

donno about the V3 but for the V2, tried to take some night shots with it - it doesn't calculate auto exposure leh.. i have to set different long exposure settings until i get the right one. cannot control f-stop and doesn't seem to have fast shutter speed.

so i suppose V3 might be similar..

AND it uses that smart media card which is so proprietory rite...
