I enjoyed the mood of the photograph, perhaps effected by the slight vignette at the edge and the muted colours.

i also enjoy how this looks like a vignette itself, like a scene from a dream

Although there is vignette, the photo works well in telling the story. Good shot

I think the vignetting works in this picture to balance out the large portion of black at the bottom, whether intentional or not. If I had the opportunity to frame such a shot, I'd probably have looked for some overhanging branches of trees to to the same.
For me, the only miniute bugbear I have is the slight OOF. Or maybe its just my eyes.

Thanks for the comments...really appreciate it.
the vignetting was intentional. OOF was because i had to compress the file in order to upload. took this picture using canon 350d sigma 24-135 f2.8.

Love the mood of this picture.

Would you mind sharing why left the bottom left part unvignetted?
would like to know how it would look like if dark-bordered on all 4 edges..

i like the feel of the "bird" trying to break though the drakness, almost succeded, but cant since the man had tie a string to its leg and pulling it back.

man playing god with nature.
