If the opinion was true ("Canon is not satisfied with the current sales figures"), then it may be really because people do not really need full-frame after all (either through lack of awareness, or the successful marketing of 1.6x "focal length multipler" strategy, or...).

Or else, the masses are not willing to pay such a premium for full-frame DSLRs.

see the results of not supporting atrocious over priced items? the price will drop alot to a much more resonable level. if this continues for all DSLRs (irregardless of brand), very soon, u will find 30D selling at S$1800, S3pro at S$2000 & the D200 at S$2200 range.

ALL CONSUMERS UNITE!!

IMHO, pricing 30D and 350D so low will still eat into 5D potential target market. So a reasonable price like $1000 for 350D, $1800 for 30D and $3500 for 5D will be a better price range for Canon.
