Default 1GB/2Gb CF on Compact Drive PD7X User?

Any Compact Drive PD7X user here?
When I intsert my 1GB or 2GB CF card, the PD7X screen never show
the device switch into 'copy' mode and won't display card capacity
as stated in the manual.
Is it faulty?
Anybody can advise?

maybe the PD7X cannot read the card, try a different CF to confirm again. I tried a few MS and only a few can read, the old type version.

Just bought one this afternoon. Tested at Eastgear with my Kingston 1G; no problem. Tested again at home successfully.
Only 'funny' thing is no display/indicator during charging. Called Eastgear and was informed that the battery icon will only come on when fully charged. Hmm..gonna wait a few hours to confirm.

I also bought mine this noon time.
Just read the manual again and is insert the card then power on the PD7X.
And it will show the total cap of the card as stated in the manual.
Different from my previous portable storage.

Charged from 3pm to overnight till 8am and still no sign of any display on the LCD. Unplugged and turned on; battery icon showed 3 full bars.

Anyone had similar experience regarding charging and battery icon display?
