Outing this Saturday 18Mar06 evening city shots

I am planning to do a city shots itinerary from Boat Quay -> Clarke Quay -> Esplanade starting 5:30pm till night shots with a quick bite for dinner in between. Trying to gather a group of say 8 guys with 3 already confirmed.

Someone has been to any of these places for shooting and would like to share experience for good spots with nice composition would be most welcome, actually I am not too familiar with these places , need to apologise in advance if we end up blind leading the blind situation, if it turns out this way then we just treat it as a good night out to know more friends !

The city view of Esplanade esp at night are very nice.

AH, and I didn't realised that those shots were Singapore when I was researching on 300D in dpreview 2 years ago.

hi Tulip123, wen will d meeting place b confirmed? hopefully not on tt day itself. i've taken pics along Havelock Rd from Saiboo Bridge ( ?) all d way 2 Mita Building several mths ago.

it all depends on where u 1 2 stop, cos covering S'pore River all d way from Esplanade Drive - Mirage Towers will take at least 4hrs!

oh, can we hav dinner tt does not cost more than $10?

This is what I have in mind, please give your feed back

Meet 5:30pm at Liang Court McDonalds, walk through, discuss and confirm itinerary.
Set off thereafter to reach Clarke Quay for shooting at location, start about 6pm, think wide angle will be good as I can visualize close proximity to buildings. Heard about the bungee jumping thingy happening nearby, see if possible to cover it, should get soothing bright evening golden lights at this point of time.

Depart Clarke Quay about 6:45pm and stroll along the Promenade (North bank of Singapore River) shooting along the way, will probably arrive end of Promenade at about 7:30pm when the sky turn dark. During this hours will have interesting sunset lightings.

Go along St Andrew’s Rd (beside Padang) to capture City Hall at around 7:45pm, lighting should be interesting at this point of time when sky just turned dark. Head towards Westin Plaza for fast food or food court dinner, rest, chat and recharge.

Continue at about 9:00pm head towards Esplanade where Mosaic music fest is going on, saw some interesting neon light subjects may be fun to cover with the structure.
