Default black and blue

ok, decided to brave the critique corner. first time here, hope dun kena whack until blue/black like the pic.

framed the shot this way because i liked the lines the poles made against the blue evening sky. noticed lots of birds flying around the area, so waited quite long until one landed on the far pole, for an extra touch. i tried some shots with fill flash, but decided that the almost complete silhouette version was stronger - the flash didn't look natural and the details were distracting.

hope for some comments about which decisions were right or wrong. should i have gone for complete blackout in the foreground? was the bird an unecessary and extra element? does this do anything for anyone or is it just a pointless picture of two wooden sticks?

thx in advance

i prefer the title u gave it in the outing thread... cos it gives more meaning to the bird, n makes me serach for it in the pic actively

i think you should give the sticks more space.

ie occupy less of the photo
