Hi there,

Good series.
Just a thought here, for #3, try not to crop off the top of the Memorial structure. It just looks unnatural. You can try low angle or just focus on the whole structure. Anyway, good attempt.

no offence, but i've seen the same angles of the same things a million times before.

there's a lot more to singapore than going out with a telephoto and getting close ups of the durian. what about the people? the culture? getting creative with lighting, composition, exposure, focus, timing, incorporating foreground elements, shooting with better light etc.

I would much rather see a sample of those shots than an over-photographed durian, especially your interpretation of the Singaporean people and culture.

was just with the d70 kit lens, i was surprised at how sharp this kit lens could actually be. This shot was taken at 70mm +1.5 DX Crop

Sharp lens . I would have wait for better lightings to test out this lens. Just my thought.

i tried searching your past threads and got this

and btw, you have lots of other shots, soooo you choose to shoot an object that's been shot a million times before. not only that, you chose an unoriginal angle in a time of broad daylight to shoot it?

and if you're not getting any comments, then clearly there is room for improvement. keep shooting the more interesting side to singapore instead. over time and self-critiquing, you will start to improve. by shooting things like this you will learn nothing but how sharp your lens is.

PS: 18-70 isnt THAT sharp really.
