I wonder how come in the centre of the picture there's a bright spot.. is it caused by the lens? Used to shoot with dx18-70mm w/67mm hoya r72 and such problem didn't exist hm. apparently my friend's tokina 28-70mm also had the same problem. Wonder what is the cause

They're known as hot spots and usually appear when you shoot with small apertures. Some lenses are more prone to this than others. To avoid this, open up the lens and try not to shoot with anything smaller than f/5.6.

If you're worried about DOF, shoot in hyperfocus.

BTW, very nice photos, love the compositions for #5 to #9

Cheers,
Matt

Hi deadpixel,
thanks for explaining about the 'hot-spot'. No wonder I got it :X .. was shooting from f/11-f/16...maybe next time I will try w/ f5.6

Hi,

I like 3,4,5+7. Nice ! good composition.
4+5 being my favorites
Maybe a little more tweaking in PS for more white ? but I like them.

As pointed out by deadpixel, there is a hotspot.
But not too obvious in many of the photo's if you are not looking for it.

Cheers

The shadows and the composition seem to work well in this image.
