Default digital dilemma

new to the digital realm... thinking of getting a digital camera but in a dilemma as to what to buy... any advise?

choices:
1. Canon G3
2. Minolta 7i/Hi
3. Fuji s602z
4. Sony F717

please give details such as the price/where to get/etc...
lastly, anyone seen the fuji s620 proz yet? thats also one of my options

Wow, the cameras are all pretty different except that they are almost the highest end for each brand.

Canon G3 is expensive but too little zoom I find.
Minolta cameras seem to be a power sucker, batteries don't last long with them.
Fuji S602z is quite good, don't know about the price...
Sony F717 is also very good... price is $1545 at Sim Lim Square Alan Photo 1st level.

That's an excellent camera as well. You have a high budget I see. Coolpix 5700 is a much coveted piece of instrument. It'll cost around the same as Sony 717.

Have you gone to www.dpreview.com to view their excellent reviews of all the cameras that you've mentioned?

high budget, why not consider a Olympus E-10?

it's a Dslr some more ...

All very powerful digital camera. But in the sitex, Olympus C-730UZ, seem to be selling quite good, I think it selling point seem to be the most powerful Zoooooom around in compact DC (10X optical and 3X digital). Any comment from anyone who own one?
