Default Can translucent text be created using photoshop elements?

as above. wanted to do a watermark type of text but can't find any transparency control for text.

After typing your text select the 'Clear Emboss' in text effect.
Should find it under Styles & Effects.

You can find the transparentcy control in the layers panel.

neither are found in my elements 3.0. look like i have to upgrade to CS somehow....

I'm using elements 3.0 for mac. here is a screenshot of the opacity control in the layers panel:

you can use it to adjust the transparency of your text.

No need to Upgrade as you can do it on Elements 3.0 also,the transperancy control is in the layer window.If you can,t see it 'Checked' 'Layer' in the 'windows' tab of your elements 3.0 you sould see the 'layers windows'.After typing your text you should see two layers or more depends on what you have done other then inserting 'text'.select your 'text' layer,slide the 'slider' to the amount of transparency you required on your 'text' layer.The sceenshot provided by "seeyf" should give an added info of what i'm telling you.
