hello, i'm a newbie to this forum. managed to find a darling diana today while antique browsing townish today and i was just wondering if anyone's had experience handling a diana.
and i was wondering too what the current prices on mf film might be and perhaps if there are any places northeastish that sells and develops it. and the price! haha. --- and on another note, i just finished a pack of 3 ilford b&w films and i was wondering where i might be able to develop them too. and how much for. cos i know the shops in my area all tell me that they have to send it to a central printing place to get it done. bleah. thanks for your time! ![]() |

most of the places dat stock 120 film in relatively large numbers, unfortunately, are in town. places like CP, ruby and colour lab (over at adelphi) have a reasonably large variety of colour and BnW film from kodak, fuji and/or ilford. to develop, can try ruby over at peninsular hotel. takes abt a week to get it back.

anw. i was wondering how to load it then went on google to check it and.. GASP!! i needed an empty spool. is it absolutely necessary in this case? do i really have to make another trip down to madame ruby to get empty spools so i can load my film? helpppp!! |

while a diana brings you to delicious holgarish heights.. in fact it predates the holga.. they are NOTORIOUS for breaking down.. if i can wear out an LCA.. im sure the diana would crumble in my hands.. so handle it with EXTREME care.. dont forget these are true blue plastic toy cameras so be gentle when snapping haha.. otherwise you might have to start shopping around for a new one..
i usually get my 120 film from cathay.. its all around the same price anyway.. i prefer to develop at konota rather than ruby.. but thats personal preference.. usually the spool would come with the camera.. if not.. you'd prolly have to get one extra one.. its not that expensive anyways.. remember to treat your diana with utmost respect.. hope this helps!

I suggest you get a cheap roll to test out before you use this for any serious photography. |
