hi ... anyone experience the same problem wiff me? my ridata flash card cannot be used wiff minolta 7hi. reads "cannot read card" when i put it in 7hi but it works perfectly wiff Nikon coolpix 950 & 4500.

Formatted it in 7Hi ?
Had problems with Pretec on a 5i, even after formatting on 5i, only gets half the mem capacity. |

what the fish leh? :P tot Ridata should have some QC control! i can't even get the 7hi to recognise the card! so how to format it u say leh? tried formatting it on both Nikon 950/4500 and both WORK! but i bought it for 7hi....*damn. i have an existing Ridata exactly same - 256, 20x. it works! *argharghargh |

Anyway I think you try format with a reader then try it lor.. |

mayb i should try wat bluestrike suggested...format using Fat16? via card reader...coz the other CF cards work (tried Lexar & IO Data as well as another Ridata 256mb 20x). will keep u guys posted if formatting works ![]() |

A D60 can work with Ridata.. I'm VERY sure of it.. buy buy buy

I think you have to format it with the 7hi. After you insert it, try going to the MENU and format.
This is what the manual of my D30 says: pg 109 of the manual: CF cards formatted and used with other cameras, computers or peripheral devices may not work correctly on the EOS D30. In this case, format your card on the EOS D30. I assume it would apply to most cameras as well. Go format it in the camera. |
