Default leica clone

anybody own a Leica imitation fron russia?, does it produce sharp picture?

I dont think they clone the lenses, its the bodies that they cloned and its the lens that determines the picture mostly.

They do. The most copied leitz lens was the 5cm 3.5 Elmar. My friend keeps many of these and he claims they are as good if not better than the original ones (which I doubt, very much)

Yes, there are many copies of Leica from Russian. Like FED and Zorki. Even the lens(Jupiter) are copies of the leitz.

I have seen quite sharp and good quality pictures that these russian lens can yield. I would say its only 80% near to leica lens quality. Russian lens are mass produced with no quality control.
But its still possible to get very nice and cheap leitz copied lens.
