    Right. Has anyone tried and found it useful? For short-distance indoor flash photography that is.

    Yes...CP got sell, i saw it on display.
    Canon EOS 5D, 24-70 f/4 L IS, 50 f/1.2 L, 70-300 f/4-5.6 L IS, 600EX-RT. Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6 EX.

    It depends on the nature of your photography but it should suffice for short-distance work. Although the lighting is diffused somewhat, do note that it is still a form of direct lighting. Also note that this is going to be a drain to your battery too.

    i haven't used it on people, only insects :P
    works well to soften the built-in flash when at close range, but the problem is at minimum focusing distance the lens barrel will cast a shadow. shouldn't affect non-super-close-up shots lah.

    Not sure if i should get a lightsphere over my omnibounce though...
