Id rather place everything such that its symmetical, and focus at a specific depth

I pretty much like this shot though it'll be good with a lil more depth, brighter and contrast. Making use of the bottom rule of 3rds is not really common. So good effort.

in technical part,
- I would prefer more constrast. This image just appear flat and dull to me.
- If the bottom part - issit the main interest? If yes, perhaps you should make it more brighter to bring the attention there. Right now the focal interest is not here not there.

in another part,
I dont get any suicidal feel from this shoot. In fact there is no feel on it. If it's a study of line and form perhaps it did work eventhough i expect something more clear in term of direction. But if you want to show someone who want to jump and end his life - i just dont think this is the way it should be.

I dont ask you to attempt suicide lah XD but I suggest you to give it another try. Go to that place when you have a lot of problem, think how unfair the world is, and that there is no way out from all your problem - what you want is just to end it all, nothing can be worse than life on earth. You really really want to end it. You dont want to think about it anymore, all you need to do is just jump. ( NO NO NO! )
Look at the same place again - what you feel will effect what you see. Portray that =)

Usually that's how i photograph. When you feel something - somehow you will see things differently. Hopefully it appear on the photograph too.

It works for me - who knows it work for you too. But no harm trying =)


I personally like your street shoot in colour. I think you have a good eye for colour, shape, and form =) And i admire that you are not afraid to try different approach in photogrphy.

lol. and a camera. when you jump, shoot continous, and then when the coroner takes the CF card, you get ultra rare pics. "seconds from death" series.
