I'm sure hearing the stall warning horn and the exhilirating rush of doing a barrel roll dive of ur Cessna crashing down and pictures capturing the very last moments of ur death would be excellent.

had passion for it while i was younger in sec sch and poly days. but lost interest slowly because I wear glasses and didn't fit the bill.. went ahead to pursue other stuff(which didn't quite turn out very successful) if getting a PPL is cheaper across the causeway.. I might consider again..

Paul_Yeo&Slivester: Sure, in fact I have been very impressed by what some of the flight simmers can do. Though I don't really play flight sim (cos my desktop doesnt quite match the basic requirements for the game) but I really love looking at some of the screen shot that some flight simmers took.

isaacpoh: I would really love to do so. But then you know the law lah.....SG doesn't allows air photography without permission

roti_prata: Yup, I have gotten my license back in 2002. All the best for your interview, just relax, don't be too stress k

I believe the maximum age limit for SYFC is 18yrs old... unless u're below that age.

An alternative choice if u wanna take ur PPL locally: http://www.singaporeflyingclub.com/

U'll be required to undergo a medical examination if I'm not wrong. So that's the best time u can declare whatever XXX u have.

Waiting to complete my degree first before I turn my energy to getting my dream licenses.. PPL & PPC licenses.

In Singapore, to get a PPL you need to spend at least S$22,000. At Elite Flying Club... around S$9,000 to S$10,000 will do. The planes are pretty well maintained.

Do factor in other cost as well, as you know in Malaysia you need to pay toll fees and second link cashcard fee, so that adds to about S$15 per trip (though u get to offset a bit of this fee when u pump petrol during your return trip). Furthermore there is time cost too, unless you stay in the west, travelling to senai takes about 1hr+. Normally people need at least 50 to 60 flying hrs to get the flying license, so dont just believe it when they tell you the minimum hrs required is 40hrs (thats the legal minimum hrs, unless you are an ace, practically speaking, getting a full PPL in 40hrs is not really possible). So, do consider all these things before joining, as the amount can adds up to much more than expected.

But then, I still encourage people to take up a PPL in malaysia if time and cost permits cos you really get a much larger airspace there.

Btw, the planes are only mechanically well maintained, dont expect too much for the interior
