Between Canon Digital Ixus 330 & Digital Ixus v2 , Which is better... wanna buy 1 soon but dunno which 2 choose...

why not S30/40 which gives you more control such as Aperture and Shutter Piority?

Back to the original question, I think Ixus 330 is better than v2. Actually I'm also considering 330 due to budget constraints... its price has dropped from $799 (initial retail price) to $600 at Alan Photo now.... The rest of the suggested models by the friendly clubsnappers are more expensive than your original choices....  |

if you want to tinker with the camera more, suggest A40, abt $440
bit bulky tho...

Hey, thanks ahguan, the price is affordable, uses AA batteries (can buy more spares), and also has manual functions.... Cool!!! Wouldn't have noticed till you recommend.....  Is $440 the price at Alan Photo? |

 AP n CP shd be about same price +-$10. colleague got hers for 430 at AP ps: this camera has a number of accessories too

Helped my fren bought his from CP for 430 w/gst last week.
Good buy...(A40) But i recommended my sis to get a V3 instead.  (aiyaa.... 680 w/o GST only ler) |

Thanks to ahguan, got my brand new Canon PowerShot A40 from Sim Lim at $395 nett. Excellent camera with good battery life. The stitching feature is fantastic!!! Night photography is cool cool too! Bought 256MB CF card for $140. Got the 1850mAH batts at $11.50 for 4 pieces too! Thank God. |
