this should hopefully be better than the FZ7.. i've yet to see a review of this camera with the new Venus III engine... maybe panasonic should have couple the FZ7 with it.
Perhaps its coming during the march IT show? |

Hmmm according to dpreview only available in April 2006, I think only will available at store maybe around May 2006
The good think of TZ1 is very compact and powerful zoom 10x |

Have another pocket size 10x zoom, Nikon S4, but don't have OIS, so I guess TZ1 still best choice.

Am eyeing this too. Coolpix S4 seems larger than the TZ1 though its swivel head is kinda useful. Too bad no IS though.

if you don't need the manual controls and want something more portable for everyday use and travel..the TZ1 would suffice...

LOL don't get your hopes up. Panasonic has this habit of sticking to retail pricing, and throwing in a bit more goodies. Buying outside 99% of the time will give you better deals than buying at the fair.

TZ1 is avail in HK for HK3390, those who want to get your hands on it now:
New reviews: Let's go digital Can anyone confirm if it's avail in sg? I am coming back in May and hope to buy 1 instead of lugging my E-1 around. |

i nearly went for this one after looking at the specs but then realise there is no aperture or shutter priority, so dropping this and now comparing between FZ7 and LZ1..
The LZI has a bigger CCD size, hence noise performance should be better. |

The camera is out. Panasonic have a roadshow in Suntec City outside Carrefour & you can see it there. RRP $699.
