Default Update: Price of 256MB and 512MB Ridata CF

Hi pals, just went to AP today. Enquired on price of CF cards. Ridata 256MB is now $145. Ridata 512MB is now $310.

I used to think this way. I changed my mind after dropping my microdrive. No matter how careful we are, accidents always happen.

well if you keep the microdrive in the camera all the time, you wouldn't drop it unless you drop the camera as well, in which case you lose both devices.

Within 1 yr, can send to loyang either by post or hand deliver. I got my replacement within 4 days by courier.

no lar...still working well...but i decided not to take anymore risk and sold off the microdrive quickly.

probably u will get back another recondition one instead...

and it may become worst

i tried to RMA a seagate harddisk...i got back a recondition one and it still have bad sector even it is just out of the box!!!

send back more than 4 times...still the same....now i give up already

IBM sent me a brandnew set with a extra cf adaptor (i din send the old one in)

will AP let u test out the CF card before u buy?

want to compare the $310 Ridata vs $270 TwinMos

Wai, what's the speed rating of the Twinmos 512mb CF card? Izzit the same as the Ridata 512mb one?

I mean the speed rating on paper and not physical test. Coz if its the same..might as well go for the twinmos one
