#1:
you forgot to fill-in?
Looks kind of cool with the soft effect and silhouette though.. it's balancing between 'work' and 'don't work' for me.

#2
the soft filter effect is not bad..

overall, this is something new to me.

I like both photos because:
- The soft effect gives a mood to the pictures when butterflies are normally associated with beautfying effects

I don''t like the photos bcause (mostly technical reasons):
- #1 from technical POV, I cannot see the subject to ID it.
- #2 the subject is not parallel
- #2 hot spots on the leaf, but with the soft effect it quite "enhaces the mood"

#1 .. yes .. took it without fill in against the sky to get this effect ..

The soft effect was created with a Nikon soft-1 filter attached to my 105 macro lens ... it was dead threaded to another filter L37c .. still wondering and trying to remove it .. last was used as a portraits lens to soften the sharpness ...

Needs more trips to nature outings ...

nice meeting you ..

Portrait sifu is shooting Macro!

Btw, who are you? I mean how you look like? Where were you sitting at when having your lunch at the restaurant? This is CM.

Nice to meet you. My comment on the photos are more or less the same with UK.
