Default Kodak Tmax Direct Positve outfit

Have anyone tried this with Tmax 100 films? Heard that it also can work for other films. How to go about that? Any comments?

I read online that people can develop postive B&W slides using some bleaches without buying the positive outfit. Any links to show where to get the formula? Can seem to find it on google. This is becasue the outfit is quite ex, 70+ for 1 box which equates to only 12 rolls. Got cheaper alternatives?

I have just done two rolls last week, very difficult to control the FD and redeveloper timing,it comes with 4 type of chemicals, you have to buy fixer yourself, develope at 20 degree C.mine is still lack some contrast.

Storing is also a problem, the chemicals can mix up to 987 or 947 ml(can't remember which one) of stock chemical.each set can develope 12 rolls of film, but every develope, the time for FD and RD have to be increase, but did not mention in the instruction how many to increase.

So after each develope, you have to store the chemicals for reuse except the bleaching,at a cool place but not for long.

it also need a long cleaning time with water after the fixing stage,it need 20 min to clean the film

Wah.. the process is so tedious. Heard that there is a need for hardening fixer. I have those Ilford non hardening fixer. Must I buy a hardening fixer or jus buy a hardener and use it with my normal fixer? The chemicals it self cost $70+ at Ruby. Worth the buy? Since Scala developing is even worse. Is the outfit my best bet? Anyone wants to share the outfit with me?
