I 'm currently looking for a compact digital camera with the following functions,
- 5.0 megapixels - can take gd quality pictures even at night - > 3x optical zoom - Not > $600 - 2.5" LCD screen Thinking of getting the new LZ3/5 or TZ1 but not too sure if panasonic camera's are gd... Any other recommendations? Thks in advance... ![]() |

to take good pictures at night,don't look for panasonic,their noise still pretty terrible.
can try F10 or F11 for cleaner and higher ISO performance. sorry but their recent batches of F10 and F11 have vertical banding problem. test it out to be sure. Last edited by Simon_84; 27th February 2006 at 12:08 PM. |

If u want to take good quality pictures at night, u should go for the DSLR.

Get the FujiFilm Finepix F11. Lower than S$600, yet better specs than what you're asking for. |

looking for low noise night shot -> forget about panasonic
looking for high optical zoom -> panasonic is a good choice you can't have the best of both world. something got to give. ![]() |

Fuji or Canon or Nikon all have cams which are <$600

you got to rank your priorities. price/higher ISO/optical zoom/Image stabilisation/screen which is most important and decide from there
