Question D200 battery

Just heard from someone said, the battery of the D200 can only shot about 180 photos. Have any user of D200 encounter this Problems?

Yes. Depending on your usage. With/without on camera flash... AF or AF-S... VR on/off... LCD usage.. I'd put it around that figure... so need to get the MB-D200!

Depends on how you use it. When I first got my camera, I used the LCD to review pictures a lot. That really drained the batteries. Also depends, what size and quality you choose to shoot in. Bigger sizes and higher quality means bigger files, thus recording what is captured will require more power..... use of flash...... whether u walk around with the camera "off" or in "stand by" mode etc.....

Beginning I only got 200+ shots per battery charge. But this week, during the AA2006, I managed to squeeze out 900 shots from a battery in a day (no flash and minimum use of the LCD). Seems to get better after a few charges.

No.. Not enough.. I can hit about 1500 with D70.

That's why D70s+18-200VR is best combination for travel.

Liew!!...

How come my name also put on the table..

Read that the battery performance will improve after a few charges. Maybe you can try that.

Btw, the MB-200 needs 2 batteries rite?
2 x EN EL3e (so one is already in the camera)

If I go get a MB200, all I need is another EN EL3e right? Sorry for my amatuerish queries.

It can run on one or two EN-EL3Es, but just in case, buy about 3 more, make 4 to be safer.
