Looks like a blurred shot of some fronds (coconut or palm tree type)

Yes it is taken in between some kind of palm leaves.

Thanks Seanlim, im using D50 with built in flash + Tokina AT-X Pro D 100mm Macro, handheld.

Nice lines and composition. =)

Do you diffuse your inbuilt flash somehow or u use it only as fill flash? coz I dont see the harshness too much.

I did not diffuse the flash and i set to rear fill. I tend to underexpose them a tiny bit and then lift up the level in Photoshop.

nice series.. that is a totally different view from botanic garden. sharp eyes and the creative use of patterns.
