Just a question, any of you guys getting a raynox dcr-250? someone was doing an mo here.
just though i'd gather some opinion about the macro lens. it looks pretty good, seeing that it got named in this page and since its rare for someone to get it into singapore... i thought i might as well get one. so what do you guys think? should i or should i not? many thanks. im hoping my macro master tchuanye can reply this :P Last edited by metallilan; 22nd February 2006 at 09:15 PM. |

Is it a good lens? I am sure it is. Its a double element lens and the quality is there. +8 is very powerful, and would give high magnifications. So depends what you want to take. For Butts, DF that size, the 6T of +2.9 is sufficient. A +8 would magnify quite substantially. High power also means the DOF is shallower. So it may be more sensitive to the positioning of the camera. That said, I think some at Stevesforum have discussed this and have gotten good images out of it. So it boils down to what you want to achieve at the end of the day. CY
