Default At The Heart of The D70

Always want to know wat is inside the D70 which give us all the joys and pains (blinking light, etc)... Hv received the following links which show what is inside the D70. Sorri if u hv seen them, for those who hvn't, it is an eye-opener:

Link 1: The high res photos:

Link 2: The other photos which show the CCD, and how to remove the original IR blocking filter to increase IR response..

Hmmm... don't try it unless you need a good excuse to buy D200

Not for normal everyday photography. That is the consequences of taking out the IR filter. However, it is useful for astronomy shots where there are information in the Near IR band. Of course you will not use the information as if the IR filter is there. You will need to rescale the gain for each channel, especially the Red channel.
