Heard of this technique of reversing a 35mm/50mm lens for macro work...
any of you lumixer's used this technique? i know tchuanye uses it but i wanna know where i can get cheap 2nd hands one...pref f/1.4 and who's rear thread is 52 mm so that i can couple it to the lens adaptor... thanks! ![]() |

U can try looking for cheap 2nd hand 50mm lens in B&S. The Nikon (not Nikkor) E-series are cheaper coz it's made of plastic, and hence lighter. But optically it's comparable to the normal Nikkor lenses. I got my Nikion 50mm f1.8 at $50, filter thread 55mm.
Although reverse lens gives very high magnification, note that the working distance is REALLY REALLY small... like 1 or 2cm from the subject so it's not really feasible with insects & other critters. You'll also get a high percentage of vignetting.
