Default Scratches, cleaning marks on lens element

Came across alot of lens stated hairline scratch, cleaning marks on either front or rear lens element.
If the flaws is tiny or hardly noticeable, would it appear on photos?

Please share.

Scratch or cleaning marks may or may not shown up in pic. They will cause more problem when there is more light source as the scratches will cause flare.

Generally, rear element scratch/marks are more destructive than front element.

Thanks everyone Minus that BBB thing

Is it costly to polish and re-coating the lens element? Has anyone done it before? Think I haven't come across or heard of such service in Sg or My lor.

How many purchases are without worries?
Even buying it new, can also come with hiccups or worst....grey imports, incomplete accessories, defective goods........

Asking questions is not gaining experience in buying, but also beneficial to the buyer's confidence laaah.

You got lot of $$$$$$$$$$, tat is why no need to worry lor.

Don't worry about scratches on lenses, they have no effect on the image unless the scratch is very wide and deep. I have a few lenses with 10mm x 3 x 1mm gouges out of the front elements with no detectable deterioration of image quality.
