do consider carefully before getting a "system". Take note, i say system not camera. est. for D70s + etc... ~$3+k est. for D200 + etc... ~$6+k |

body lense flash and and? ![]() all i know is the "burst rate" [not sure the correct term] for D200 is faster and the AUTO FOCUS is better also... in what ways is D70S inferior to D200? |

*been a D70 user, i can't describle in words how different. but then output from the camera will tell you. For lens, do get the range that you need to shoot. eg, landscape- will need wideangle. micro - micro lens la. ![]() Snipping - tele zoom. Flash - SB800(don't ask me, what's the diff between SB600) (do a search on it, had been argue/debate over many times) Then you will need a decent bag to hold your equipment. Other accessories like extra batteries/filters/lens cleaner/drybox ....... |

I will get the D70s first. Learn about the whole of digital photography, feel pro already then get the different world camera like D200, D2X etc. By that time, new model might be introduced
No point buying a D200 now and onli used the function it have in the D70s lar. Hehheh.

if you need to ask a question like this, you are better off starting from scratch. Get the D70s kit and start from there.

The two main improvements in the D200 to ME is the 10MP and improved AF. But to you could be totally different if you don't print big. Last edited by wind30; 19th February 2006 at 09:08 AM. |

Get a D200 with modern day technology and design, that will last u another good 2-3 years, relatively speaking D50/D70/D70s/D100 now look very outdated (but I am still using D100)

the d70s may seem outdated but it serves my needs well.
getting the d70s instead of the d200 will allow u to get a trinity lens by topping up a little. u shd read up kenrockwell on his reasons of upgrading, maybe he can help u see ur needs better: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d200.htm almost all of the plane shots in my |

Always buy the best in the market with your available budget. Just like computer/laptop analogy. Between D70s and D200, I'll choose the latter, merely for its sealing and more better-built body.

If you have the $$$ to spend, why don't you get D2X, so in this case there is not need to compare.....
