Default XBOX Launch

Here's the story: bought a new metz32z-1 @ ard 5 pm, went to the launch; while queuing up, read the manual. Went in, fumbled with the flash and just started snapping.

Here're the results:

As I'm new with this flash, comments/advice on the use of flash would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Btw, direct flash was used.
Settings on the flash: f2.8, ISO 200, focal length 28 mm.

In other words, you're saying that the image is underexposed?

Nope, no diffuser nor bounce card was included. As a matter of fact, I was told that there's no omni-bounce available for this flash.

It was an open-air environment so I couldn't use bounce flash; Btw, it has both auto and manual modes but I used the auto mode 'coz I wasn't sure how to use the manual mode at that time. Guess I've got to have more practice

You can get velcro from most of the stationery shops, i think. You can even use rubber bands for that.

I keep my bounce card to about 4 X 6 (4R size) and some gap for the attach to flash part. Not sure if it's too small tho.

Ok, thanks; May I know what material are you using for the bounce card?

if you've got old video tapes lying around, use the white plastic case covers. those are usually nice and stiff. velcro can also get from Art Friend @ Bras Basah or Spotlight @ Orchard.
