    Question Monopod or Tripod??

    thinking of getting one. but don noe which one to get...
    wat ur views??? which one is better?

    each serve different purposes,depends on your needs and setup.

    tripod sure more stable, but more bulky to carry around.
    monopod more compact, but you need some technique to use it
    ofcource if you carry tripod I don't think you need monopod any more

    just get both, monopod for long reach lenses in good light conditions and tripod for low light conditions or macro shooting.....basically put

    Tripod for me, as I don't know how to handle a monopod. Furthermore, could not have a really long shutter speed (a few seconds, for example) when using the monopod.

    self standing monopod, not very stable, but couple with the KM 5D Anti-Shake, it rocks .

    Not true, different situations have better uses for each type.
    Canon EOS 5D, 24-70 f/4 L IS, 50 f/1.2 L, 70-300 f/4-5.6 L IS, 600EX-RT. Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6 EX.

    what kinda tour? group tour? photographic tour?

    if group tour, get a monopod as i don't think the rest would wait for you (unless it's your whole family as a group)

    if photographic tour, get a tripod, spend time to slowly fine tune ur shots, etcetc, as you hv all the time in the world..

    Actually tripods can double as monopods too.

    serves quite diff purposes.
    cant use a monopod to take night shots... but its certainly more practical when shooting stage events
