Greetings!
Here's some photos taken during the Sungei Buloh trip last weekend...got up really early, only to miss the bus at Kranji MRT station and having to waste almost 30 minutes waiting for the next one. Hope you'll enjoy the newbie shots. They're not pin-sharp, but hope they're at least identifiable. All shots cropped (except the monitor lizard) and resized for display. In most cases I intentionally underexposed by about 0.3 to 0.7 EV in hope for deeper colours. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy! |

. Glad that at least the last one turned out well for you, and the lizards were considerably easier to photograph than the birds. The colour wasn't like this in reality, but an underexposure by about 0.3 or 0.7 Ev yielded this result. |

That said, you'll have good success and finding birds if you're quiet, and there aren't noisy tourists tramping around and disturbing wildlife. The place where I got the majority of my photos was actually from the very first hideout that you'll see after crossing the bridge. Be on a lookout all the time though, just in case. For shots on monitor lizards, you'll find them basking around the large ponds...approach slowly and without staring at them...and don't forget to try large macro shots too, on flowers or on insects. |
